Bridal Wars ATX
We were thrilled to host this years Bridal Wars Austin at Heritage Haus last Saturday! With over 70 Brides along with their family & friends there were over 150 people participating in the days festivities. We weren’t sure what to expect we just knew it was going to be a wild day with lots of tutus, pony tails, and face paint! We were not disappointed! With temperatures in the high 70’s, sunshine, and clear blue skies it was a perfect day to be outdoors. Texas in December, ya’ll.
14 game stations hosted by wedding pros in the Austin area were set up all over the property and consisted of relays, games of wit, strength, dancing, and team spirit! Some of our preferred vendors were in attendance and we could not be more grateful for their participation! Premier Entertainment Group was onsite providing DJ services/musical entertainment throughout the event and ran the coolest, most competitive Lip Sync Battle we have ever seen! Petal Pushers went against their code and whipped up some fabulous silk floral bouquets for their Bouquet Toss challenge. Coordinate This was onsite helping us to stay on top of things during the event and ensuring everything ran smoothly while simultaneously hosting the Runaway Bride relay. They are the BEST! Hands down the most delicious part of our day was the Cake relay hosted by Bride’s Table. Casey is simply amazing and her cakes are next level! Hill Country Casitas reffed the Kick Ball game which let out everyone’s inner warrior, Your Getaway Guru ran the Cups challenge, and Bar Butlers served up all those thirsty ladies.
Heritage Haus even got in on the action and ran the “Set the Table” challenge! Each team selected 4 players to compete in our relay. Members were assigned an order and a task that required they run from the starting point over to the reception table (placed in the field) execute their portion before returning to the starting point and tapping in the next runner. The tasks were to (1st) take a trio of assorted height lanterns and place in the table’s center, (2nd) set 10 chargers around the table, (3rd) place three votives around the lanterns and place a folded linen napkin in the center of each charger, (4th) place a fork, knife, and spoon on top of the napkin and make it back to the starting point as fast as possible! Our fastest time was 54 seconds. Like lighting!
We had so much fun and it was such a unique event to be apart of! The games, the music, the prizes - all awesome! But what really made this day so special was the genuine excitement on everyone’s “glistening” faces and the incredible friendships/relationships we got to see a glimpse of. There was a whole lotta love on our property this weekend and we are grateful to have witnessed it! Thank you so much to everyone who attended, the vendors who participated, and of course Bridal Wars! Let’s do it again sometime!
